All religions in the world are generally preaching good things. But some religious teaching are leading to fanatism. Many valuable lives are lost almost every day due to fantical beliefs.
Those who act fanatically say they do such things because the gods whom they claim to follow have said to do such things through their religious books.They say gods have contacted some prophets before many centuries and given such instructions through them and those instructions were documented for the later generations to follow. Same versus of a religious book are given different interpretations by different people.
Religious fanatism is existing in almost all religions. As civilized human being we have to be careful when learning religious teachings. None of the people who are living in the world in this century have never spoken to any god or received any divine instructions. Even the so called gods have never interfered to save the lives of the priests who are supposed to serve gods full time when they are in danger. We have heard many stories about people drowning when they go on pilgrimage. What does that indicate? It means the gods are not acting in a way people think.
